September 20–21, Ram’s Head Live – Baltimore, MD
Electro Sound Systems made a splash at The Big Dill, the World’s Largest Pickle Party®, debuting their brand-new ROE BP3 LED video wall while providing full production support for Pickle Up!, an interactive live game show where the audience doesn’t just watch—they play.
From stage decking and smoke effects to sound, lighting, and video production, Electro helped transform Pickle Up! into a truly immersive experience. The show featured everything from physical pickle-themed challenges to audience trivia segments like “The Pickle Feud” and a Jeopardy-inspired “Pickle Quiz Show.”
Capturing the Action
Electro’s camera team deployed a pair of Sony FR7 Cinema Line PTZ cameras—full-frame, 4K remote-controlled cameras capable of capturing cinematic visuals with precision. Video was switched through Electro’s Mobile Video Rack, powered by a Blackmagic ATEM 2/ME Constellation HD, and mixed in vMix using a custom graphics package developed by Electro’s in-house design team.
The visuals were anything but ordinary. Looping pickle-themed backgrounds, animated lower thirds, brine chug leaderboards, birthday callouts, and game-winner overlays all contributed to the high-energy, tongue-in-cheek vibe that defines The Big Dill.
Immersive Audio & Interactive Fun
For sound, Electro utilized the Allen & Heath SQ-5 console paired with d&b audiotechnik Q1 line arrays and Q-Subs for deep, clean low end. Alongside standard music playback and show cues, Electro’s engineers built a custom soundboard packed with comedic effects and reactions—adding an extra layer of fun for both players and spectators.
The Star of the Show: Electro’s New ROE LED Wall
At the heart of the production stood Electro’s new ROE BP3 LED wall, a high-brightness (1500-nit) display that cut through the midday sun and anchored the visual energy of the entire festival. The crisp imagery kept festivalgoers engaged whether they were watching or competing live on stage.
Custom Game Tech: From Podiums to Pickle Poles

Electro’s custom fabrication team designed and built the interactive game show elements that powered Pickle Up!—including a portable podium equipped with a 24” HD touchscreen, a built-in Blackmagic ATEM Mini, and a Dell Precision 3260 computer for real-time game graphics.
And then there was the infamous “Pickle Pole”—a one-of-a-kind game controller where contestants used real pickles as buttons to control a “Whack ’Em” video game featuring Dilly, the festival’s mascot. Kids and adults alike couldn’t resist taking a swing.
Talking with the Host: Chris Bruce
Chris Bruce, creator and host of Pickle Up!, brought boundless energy to the stage and was thrilled to collaborate with Electro.
“Working with Electro Sound Systems was a total game-changer,” says Bruce. “Their custom graphics and tech made the show come alive. The visuals didn’t just grab the audience’s attention—they kept them engaged from start to finish. Having technology that could react to what I was doing as host made the whole experience feel alive and responsive.”
