Kristian Axelsson has been in the audio industry since 2013 beginning with his formal college education in Audio Production. Before then, he studied at Caravel Academy College Preparatory School in Bear, DE. While there, he was heavily involved in the music department participating in the Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, and the Men’s Choir . Though he loved performing on stage as a musician in high school, when it came time to further his education he decided to work behind the curtains and study Audio Engineering at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. It was there Kristian would first gain and then hone his skills as an Audio Professional. With a well rounded curriculum, Kristian would take classes ranging in subject including: electronics, live sound, studio recording, mix theory, sound design, audio for video, and business classes focused toward the music industry. Toward the end of his time in Philadelphia, Kristian took internships at the World Café Live and at the Ephrata, PA production company Illusion Sound and Lighting where he would later be hired as a full time employee. Graduating with a Bachelors of Science Degree from college Kristian worked at Illusion for two years where he learned the ins and outs of live sound production. It was during this time he would become proficient with a variety of audio consoles like the Behringer X32 and the Avid SC48 and learn to set up a variety of audio systems ranging in size from small community events to state and county fairs working with national touring acts. Kristian is a hardworking professional and proud to be part of the Electro Team.
